BARCELONA | April 17-18
Join the Houdini community at OFFF Barcelona 2026 to connect with motion design artists who are pushing the boundaries of creative work. You’ll be part of a global gathering of creatives across design, motion, sound, and technology – an opportunity to learn from others, share perspectives, and get inspired by the work shaping the future of visual storytelling. Whether you’re refining your craft or just starting your Houdini journey, you’ll walk away with new insights and meaningful connections.
Houdini IGNITE WORKSHOP
Pushing Polygons With Pixels:
Introduction to Houdini For Motion Design
Friday April 17 | 1-5 PM
Get a kickstart in Houdini for motion graphics! In this workshop you’ll learn how to leverage two of the most versatile and fun tools of Houdini to create a playful, abstract mograph scene. We will use Vellum for cloth and softbody physics together with Copernicus, Houdini’s new 2d texturing tool to change both the visual appearance and physical properties of our simulated objects. In the end you’ll build a complete scene that’s both ready to be rendered in your preferred DCC and a perfect starting point for further explorations.
This workshop is for: Beginner Houdini users
INSTRUCTORS:

Christopher Kopic creates Houdini tutorials on any topic for Entagma and teaches CGI and Creative Coding at Nuremberg Polytechnic Georg Simon Ohm. Before that he gained his experience in the trenches of freelance motion graphics and before that, for unclear reasons, he studied industrial design. When he’s not looking at screens for 3d graphics, Chris enjoys looking at screens while dabbling with 3d printing, electronics and sewing.

Moritz Schwind is gonna take part in it all - Be it pixels, hardware, code or cameras. And sometimes even reassemble it. In his spare time, he likes to dabble with code and create generative artwork. He claims his early exposure to QBasic is no help at all when working in Houdini, Blender, Processing or Arduino. But it might have been what started his fascination for the boundaries of code and art. When not wreaking havoc to any intriguing devices around him, he works as a freelance Technical and Art Director. His more recent areas of interest cover the use of scientific algorithms in generative design and the application of AI in creative fields.
