Just realized I posted to the wrong forum. Anyways, this is my submission.
This is called a South African BULBinella. We've got them pretty much everywhere, but they can be found covering large fields, which can be quite the sight to behold.
If you look closely you'll see that the buds are actually little-tiny light bulbs!
Had to render this one out quick.
