Export curves Houdini and id attribute in Prman for Maya

Hello,

We're trying to figure out how to export curves in Houdini, then using a PxrMarschnerHair in Renderman for Maya and use the PxrHairColor with randomness (Using the id attribute we would have set in Houdini). However it seems it doesn't get through the export in Alembic, because we don't get any randomness. Do you have an idea on how we could solve this ?

It's certainly been a while since I've done this so my answer might be totally off. I vaguely remember having to promote attributes to vertices before exporting and rather than using Maya's native Alembic import, use the prman one. Sorry that's the best I can do from memory.
