Hey, quick question,
I'm trying to make a simple Houdini tool (otl) and I have a checkbox inside to toggle showing some guide geometry and guide points, but I don't want these points to be a part of the object, moreso just “ghost guides” that aren't part of the actual geometry.
I've attached an example,
make a box, put down the hide_pts node, and attach a box to it. I want the checkbox I have there to show all the points inside, but not have those add to the total point count or affect the object or geometry in any way, just to be there as a “guide” or “ghost object”.
Is this possible?
Houdini tool "guides"

Yes, just go to Type Properties > Basic > Guide Geometry and select the node that has your guide geometry.
