Hello,

I'm a beginner on Houdini and while i was following a tutorial i had an issue. My hairgen node stopped working and i don't know how to resolve it. In my previous scenes the issue isn't there.

Here's the error :

Error
Invalid source /obj/MODEL_GEO_groom/groom/hairgen1/hairgencore
Warning: Position input doesn't have a rest attribute.
Using P instead of rest for all inputs.
Error: Invalid skinprim attribute values found on guide curves.
You can create correct values using a Guide Skin Attrib Lookup SOP..

I have linked the scene with the error (V11) and a scene with no error (V9)

Thanks!

Did you ever resolve this issue? I'm having the same problem now, so if you or anyone else can tell me how to solve it, it would be greatly appreciate.

Hey there,

to solve this issue apply a rest node to the guides before the hairgen. To generate new skinprim attributes also insert a guide skin attribute lookup. This should be it.

Cheers

Having the exact same issue here, adding a rest and skin attribute lookup before hairgen doesn't solve the issue on my
end.
