I been making this procedural road tool for little while, the goal is to make a tools that artist can create roads on-fly in Houdini, also make it as procedural as possible and easy to use.
Tool features right now:
- Module base road intersection.
- Curve base road creation for high flexibility
- Automatically placing different modules and route shape correction.
- Auto adaption between road and terrain to make it look believable.
- Procedural module and shape control
- Route shape control custom attributes
I already tried out some workflow with Houdini Engine Unity, with some scripting it work pretty good.
Still work in progress, going to proceduralize module texturing and some other things
