Hi everyone,

I've imported a GeoTIFF of a mountain area into Houdini as a heightfield, and everything looks great overall. The mountain roads are mostly intact, but I've run into some issues where the roads aren’t clean in certain areas. For example, in spots where rivers flow below the road, the road appears broken or incomplete.

I need to manually clean up these areas by "filling in" the gaps where the rivers cross the road to restore the continuity of the road. Additionally, I’m considering making the road a bit more planar to improve its overall quality.

I'm a bit unsure of the best workflow or tools in Houdini to approach this. Does anyone have suggestions on how to:
1. Manually fix or "fill in" the broken areas on the heightfield where the road is missing?
2. Flatten or make the road more planar without affecting the surrounding heightfield too much?

Any tips, workflows, or nodes that could help with this would be greatly appreciated! Most of the tutorials are about creating new height fields using noises or don't create any roads.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I've tried a couple of things. Best solution seems to be to model some geometry for the holes and use "heightfield_Project". I'm quite happy with the result:
