Collada and FBX Don't Support Rigging?

Hi All,

I have a working RIG in Blender and I want to bring it into Houdini. I have tried exporting from Blender to .DAE and .FBX. When I import these files into Houdini, I don't get the rigging.

Shouldn't the Houdini importer bring that information along and create a working rig?

Is Collada and FBX only partially supported at this time?

Will SideFX ever fix these valid file types and support rigging?

Just wondering if any progress has been made on this issue. I still have RIGs in Blender that I want to migrate to Houdini.

Can Houdini do what Blender does?
Using Houdini Indie 20.0

what do you mean by working rig?
from FBX you should be able to get bones with animation and skinning, maybe blendshapes, but not a working rig with all controls

Im exporting maya rigs into houdini without problem.
All the anim and skinning comes across fine.
The rig has to have just baked anim on the joints though.
It cant have any iks ect.

even though good exporter should handle this in the first place

Collada is a little better, but still imports into Houdini completely broken.

This is exactly what I thought as well. I should be able to get a skinned working rig but that is not my experience.
