In this lecture we are going to build the base wood plank that we can re-use throughout the rest of the construction of these assets. This will begin to give you an idea of how to create procedural parts you can use in your everyday modeling workflows.

Howdy DCornibert! Is it possible to get a bit more information? You don't see a group node in Houdini? That is definitely odd. I am wondering if you are in a diffenent context than sops? In your Network View, is the context set to OBJ? That info will help to figure out what is going on. thanks! :-)

I am not sure if I did something incorrectly, but my polybevel has no way to select point scale under offset as per the 6:20~ area of the video.

These are the options that I have available. I am guessing it is because I am using Houdini 18 and this video is about a year and a half old, so things have changed? Unfortunately, I am just too new to Houdini to know what I need to do in this situation.

Right beside the "Distance" parameter, you should see written "No Scaling" on a tab. Just change it to "Attribute Scaling", and that will give the option that you need.
