Learn how to create a bridge tool. The bridge is designed to add more structure in the GROT scene by sitting above the lava and creating interesting silhouettes. The tool is mainly controlled by a curve which drives multiple curves to define the main shape and supporting shapes.

Learn more about the Project GROT tech demo.

Overview of the bridge tool lesson. Here you will see what to expect from the tutorial series.
Start by drawing a simple curve. From that curve the main bridge shapes are made. Use basic approaches to create the exact lines needed for the bridges.
Now that you have the main shapes, it is time to add more details. Add smaller details into the bridges that act like supporting shapes.
Learn how to control the placement better. On the base curve, create a wall shape that will act like a collision shape. You can then snap to the wall to make the output a bit more predictable.
Package up the Houdini Digital Asset and promote parameters to be used in Unreal. If you are familiar with these workflows this will be quite straightforward.
