Overview ¶
This tool is useful to use with an RBD Object, where the static object influences the RBD object. For example, a bat hitting a ball or a vase shattering on a table. In the below image, the table is the static object.
Using static objects ¶
-
Select the geometry to convert to a static object.
-
Click the Static Object shelf tool on the Collisions tab.
Note
You can transform, rotate, scale, and keyframe the static object at various frames.
For more information on specific parameters, see the Static Object dynamics node help.
Switching to the dynamics level ¶
-
Click the Dynamics Select Mode button on the selector and handle controls toolbar.
-
Click the static object in the scene view.
