I just downloaded the latest version of Houdini 11 on my mac and the icons are not displayed. I tried redownloading it a few times but it did not work. Is there anyway to resolve this ? Thanks .
Do you have X11 installed on your OS X? If you don't you can install it off of your OS X install DVD. Once you have that installed, you probably want to remove your $HOME/Library/Preferences/houdini directory so that correct icons get generated when you restart Houdini.
Hi… Im having same issue here.. apparently X11 is already installed in the latest macbook pro versions. I deleted the “houdini.env” file under /Library/Preferences/houdini/11.0
I restarted houdini, but I still cant see the icons. Any idea?
Try deleting not only the houdini.env file but the whole 11.0 folder. Also Houdini may be using $HOME/houdini11.0/ as the configuration folder, so try deleting that folder as well, if it exists.
