Hello,
I Am trying to get the apprentice version downloaded, keeps quitting partially thru…. one time @ 17 megs/ one time @ 99/ one time @77 / one time @ 31 megs / etc. etc.

Sometimes grinds to a halt, sometimes is going fine, and then quits.

Leaves the file as a (broken) .dmg (though normally a failed .dmg download is named xxxxxxx.dmg.part)
Disk Mounter App gives error on the broken .dmgs
“The following disk image couldn't be opened”
“houdini-11.0.775-macosx_x86_64_gcc4.2_10.6.dmg”
“not recognized”

Is there an alternate dload link? please?

Have tried on two different pipes, (both verra fast) and two different browsers (Firefox and Safari). All caches dumped
Have downloaded bigger files just tonight from elsewhere…
rebooted, what else?

My system Imac 2 ghz Intel Core duo
3 gig ram - 10.6.3

Help?

try to download with a manager . so you can continue your failed progress . try download them all on firefox .

Hey there, finally got it… (7th times the charm…) Was on firefox the whole time, but was not showing as an incomplete dload, Firefox thought each one was a finished file (no matter how small/large it actually was)

Just seems to be a “pipe too busy” problem or something, 2nd try the next morning worked great.

Am very much digging on this, is a different curve to learn, but seems to be my next soft of choice….
