Hi,

I am working on volumes, trying to render some clouds.
I use a bank of i3d to achieve this.
I am rendering with micropolygon.

Some of the volume objects are far from the camera and others are close.
Is it smart to set a the dicing parameter for each object depending of the camera distance or not ?

For my renders shadows map take a lot of time to be create. If there is no movement of object and only slow variation of the procedural displacement, is it possbile to not recalculate the .rat file ?

thanks for your help
