Hello Houdini user group,
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to replicate this effect?

I don't know how to use metaballs and the Voronoi nodes together. Thanks.

have a look at the magnet force DOP node, you can drive a force with metaballs that you input there.

You could do this by following this
1.have your box with some divisions
2.put down a metaball within the range of your box
3,Set your box as RBD object…and maybe a ground plane
4,Set this box as auto fracture tool from the shelf
5,Go inside your Dop, and turn on the “Fracture From Magnet Force Metaballs” option on Voronoi Fracture Configure Object.
6,Put down a magnetforce node and a SOP Geometry node.
7.Setup SOP path on SOP Geometry node ( where is your metaball located)
8,Connect SOP Geometry node to Magnetforce node, and connect magnetforce node directly into the main chain
9,Set your Scale Force as a negative value, for example -50000
10, Go display your gravity
11,Done

I've been trying to implement your advise and I seem to be getting stuck.

4,Set this box as auto fracture tool from the shelf
I can't find the auto Fracture tool.

6,Put down a magnetforce node and a SOP Geometry node.
Magnetforce goes into the Dynamics/DOP and the Geometry node goes into the scene level/SOP?

8,Connect SOP Geometry node to Magnetforce node, and connect magnetforce node directly into the main chain
-how do I connect a metaball within the box node to the geo node on teh scene level.

I have pictures of the different levels so you can see where I'm in error. Please let me know where the connection is not correct. Thanks.
