Recently I acquired some new hardware and an SSD and decided to reinstall Windows and do a clean format of my HDD after backing up.
After installing most of my new programs, when it came to Houdini, I can't even launch it without it crashing on the splash screen and giving me the Segmentation Fault error. I've tried numerous things, updating graphics card drivers which some people seem to have done to fix the problem, but to no avail. I've also tried countless times to delete and reinstall it but the problem still persists and I can't open Houdini.
The version I'm trying to open is the latest production build 12.0.634.
My computer specs are as follows:
Processor: i7-3770K
Mobo: ASUS PSZ77-WS
RAM: 16GB 1800MHz
GPU: 2x 7950's in Crossfire
Storage: 128GB SSD - 1TB HDD
The following is taken from the crash-log file generated by Houdini whenever I try and open it:

I'm just not sure what the problem is, like I said, it was working fine before I upgraded any of my hardware or reinstalled Windows, so I know obviously the problem lies within that, I'm just not sure how to fix it.
I've also emailed the SESI Support quite extensively but even they're struggling to help me, so I just wondered if anyone on the forums could possibly help me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated since I haven't been able to get back into the program for a while now.
Regards,
Dan

Thank you for the feedback guys, but unfortunately neither problem seems to have worked.
I've tried both uninstalling then reinstalling the latest daily build, which hasn't seemed to fix the problem, and I've also tried removing one of my graphics cards, which also doesn't seem to help.
Apologies for not providing the information earlier, I should have said exactly what I've changed, and that is the introduction of the processor, SSD and a second graphics card.

First off if I was in this situation and I knew it worked before I would.
Get my old sata drive > install that with win 7 on C and Houdini on C, everything default . Use 1 graphics card with a correct driver as everyone knows the radeon drivers can play awkward. Test it ….
Then from a process of deduction you will be able to eliminate things. uninstalling and a reinstall is not going to help. remember install everything default C drive.

I've been getting this same error myself on several of my machines on all versions since 12.1.33.
I think its because of a .dll C++ path finder script i am using for my project. when I have the node installed on newer versions of houdini (starting from 12.1.33 houdini crashes when the .dll files are installed.
I've just bought a new work laptop and I just installed Houdini on it, clean install windows has been fully patched and my graphics drivers are up to date.
Houdini initially worked fine (after I patched the graphics drivers) however after I closed down all instances of Houdini and tried to restart a new instance of Houdini it always crashes on start-up with a ####: Fatal Error, Segmentation fault warning in the console a split second before splash screen closes out.
I'm running on a MSI
Windows 7 Home edition
Intel i7-2670QM
Nvidia gforce GTX 580M
16 gigs of ddr3
And Houdini is installed on a SSD harddrive.
