I'm currently working on creating a set of digital assets that will allow the user to create clouds. For the shading component, I've chose to use the Pyro FX 2 shader, with the fire components removed. Currently I have some parameters setup so that the user can select the color and density of the clouds. These parameters are connected to the Volume Visualization VOP, with a button which allows them to be transferred to the shader ( essentially the Apply All Transfers button from Pyro ). I also have a second set of parameters at the top level of my subnet that are intended to be linked to the Pyro shader. The problem is, these top level parameters don't update to reflect the changes sent from Volume Visualization; I have to manually recreate the parameter and link it to the Pyro field for color or density. Once this is setup I can then edit the parameters, and the changes will be seen in the shader.
My question then is can I create a link between the parameters and the Pyro shader so that they update in response to one another? In other words, the top level shader parameters update after the values have been transferred from Volume Visualization, and can then be used to control the Pyro shader.
Sorry for the wall of text, but I wanted to be throrough. I've posted the hip file with all of my subnets setup. Thanks in advance for any help.
Refresh/Reload a Promoted Parameter
