I read this thread earlier:

trying to figure out the syntax on Windows to use the OPlibraries, but I can't get it working.

I need to be able to use the OPlibraries file in $HSITE/houdini12.0. This works in houdini 11.1 on all platforms, and in houdini12.0 on linux/mac, but not on Windows.

I know the fashion now is to use scanned OTL directories, but we still have our otl files stored with the jobs that they were created in for long term (legacy) pipeline reasons. Consequently they are in many different directories and the path is not simple or short. The OPlibraries file is a good way to do it for us. It is easier to maintain this file than to move all the assets to a single location.

Except on Windows, Houdini can't find the OPlibraries file.

I have a houdini.env file in my home directory. It looks like this

HSITE = Cjobs/htools
HOUDINI_OTL_PATH = &
HOUDINI_OPLIBRARIES_PATH = &

The result of this when I run Houdini and choose Window->Shell and type:

hconfig -ap
searched directories (in order)
$HIP
$HOME/houdini12.0
$HSITE/houdin12.0
$HFS/houdini
$HFS/bin

There is an OPlibraries file in both $HOME/houdini12.0 and in $HSITE/houdini12.0 but it is not loading either one. If I delete either of them, it still doesn't load the remaining one.

I have the “Use OPlibraries to find OTLs” checked on.

What do I have to do to get this working on houdini12.0 on windows?
