Because Autodesk don't support it yet for max and maya and it's a real shame.
Did find the answer anywhere.
Thx for the answer
Does Houdini fully supports Kepler graphic cards?

No no i mean, for max and maya for isntance, those who have GTX690, GT680, 670, 660 complain because old GTX460, 470, 480 perform much better in those specific softwares, whereas they are like 50-100% perf. less then actual generation
I mean for example i had a GTX460 and when i see reviews my GTX660 is like 70-100% better than my old GTX460 + almost 1000 cuda cores (something like 300 on GTX460) so it should rock on 3D sotfware, but everybody says (on maya and max) that GTX660 (my card) and higher end card of 2012 perform very bad on 3D software and say that's it's autodesk fault and they'll go back to old GT480 and co

The Quadro K5000 has been testing under Windows (8, I think), and I've tested the consumer variants under Linux (670) and Windows (690). There isn't much variation between Windows and Linux drivers these days, other than the release schedule. There is far more variation between driver versions than OSes.
Nvidia and AMD normally provide us with workstation samples before they appear on the market, and those are always tested. In the case of the AMD FirePro W-series, this resulted in quite a few bug fixes and changes on both sides. Neither company provides consumer cards, though we usually have at least 1 on hand to test.
In general though, if a card from a GPU generation works with Houdini given a driver, all of them will. It's just a question of performance after that.
