Hi,

Is it possible to programmatically create new Operator Type via hython instead of via the UI in Houdini ?

Any example python code to illustrate the above ?

You mean like:
parent = hou.node("/obj")
subnet = parent.createNode("subnet")
subnet.createDigitalAsset(name="myAsset", hda_file_name="./myAsset.hda", ...)

?
