i have a question about making money with this software.

is it possible to sell 3d models made in houdini? Can you suggest sites if they exist? i don't speak about vfx. only modeling.

If you have Houdini Indie, Core, or FX, you can sell 3D models made in Houdini, though I'm not familiar with any marketplaces to make it easy to offer them for sale to potential buyers. Other people might know of some, though.

Oh, right. Thanks, Chris! I somehow forgot that you can make an asset out of static geometry.

So, yes, you can sell, on Orbolt, assets wrapping models made in Houdini. If I recall correctly, you can even do so for content made in Houdini Apprentice, if it's specifically sold through Orbolt, and not sold elsewhere.
