Working with the IPR, and appart from some the discussions here and in Odforce about it I have some suggestions thta I think that would be very useful for the users:
-Global Shading Quality: Adding the abbility to change the shading quality in the IPR, and only for this render test, maybe per ROP or per Take, will allow to make render tests faster.
-More info about the IPR Cahe: For example a dialog that inform about the cache size what objects or info are in it, to manage it unloading some obejcts, etc …
-Render only selected: Make a button to enable only selected objets, or to create a render mask for the IPR, etc …
-Incremental rendering: Idea taked from Fprime. A quick way to get incremental rendering is from example rendering only the ten percent of the pixels, then blur them to fill the whole scene, then apply an edge detect and a luminance detection to select the parts with more luminance and changes, this create a most important mask.
Render a new pass the next ten percent but now focusing in the most important mask to resolve first the most important part of the scene, and so on … To rendering all the pixels. This would be a great tools for lighters.
So here are some ideas ….
