How would you recreate the burning of a cloth? (Burning and tearing). Thanks in advance. Sorry for the lame question. Im just starting and after some research i didnt find any resources.

If you are just starting deconstruct the effect you want into parts and search for them. For example in your case you want to search for vellum cloth, tearing, and piro for the burning effect. There are plenty if tutorials on all of those.
