I'm stuck on an some old hardware and I need to use Houdini 16.5.634 Apprentice and Indie eventually.

I can't get the Apprentice license server request to go through, is it possible to still use this older version of Houdini Apprentice / Indie?

I'm also in the same situation.

First it shows that it can't get license.

Then I try to do it manually from SESI:
https://www.sidefx.com/services/non-commercial-license/ [www.sidefx.com]

and get this: “unsuported license version - please get a newer version”

WTF!?

edit:

ok I got email from support:

“I am sorry, we don't offer apprentice licenses for older version of Houdini. Only for the current version (houdini 18.0).

However, if you install Houdini 18.0 and licenses version 18.0, you should be able to run all previous versions of Houdini.”
