Hey

i have experiencing a problem to start Houdini 18 license administrator on Ubuntu 16/18, it's failed to start and leave no error message, on freshly installed Ubuntu 16 and 18.

Houdini 17's license administrator can start without any problem.

any one knows why?

actually, after i finished the installation of houdini 18 on new install CentOS 7, when i hit license administrator on manual, nothing shows up, the same to, if i want to start houdini FX, nothing happening….. just no response, i have login as root.

on Ubuntu 18, there is a little response when i hit license administrator, but no “diagnostic message” appear, just nothing…

You could try using sesictrl to obtain a license diagnostic. Docs are found here. [www.sidefx.com]

I would highly suggest contacting support@sidefx.com as they are better equipped to diagnosing and fixing the issue you are facing.
