The latest daily build has:

Re-enable a second code optimization for Karma on Windows now that the MSVC compiler bug has been fixed that required disabling optimizations.

is that related to the issue and should the rendertimes on linux vs win be now more at the same ballpark?

Someone will have to install the latest build and render the scene, so we can find out!

Okay, that's what you'd expect between Win vs Linux - 10% to 25% speed increase.

Nvidia drivers suck under Linux, otherwise I would use Linux Mint instead of Windows 10 Workstation!

It looks like there is quite a bit of a speed gain in 449 compared to 383 with XPU using my GTX 1650, at least under Linux, great work SideFX.

383: 9:34
449: 7:13

Hi
A quick question, when you have XPU enabled in the viewport, what devices are displayed (top right corner) and what percentage balance between EmbreeCPU and Opitx do you typically get?

thanks!

Hey all, thanks for the awesome 19 updates!

I need to add some flares to glittery particles, does XPU have any fancy bloom and flare post stuff like RS?

Cheers!

I believe Karma has a lens shader VOP that can do that!
