Can anyone tell me how to find glue adjacent? Its not in my rigid bodies shelf tools and I cant seem to find it anywhere else. I thought maybe it was removed in 19.5 but theres tutorials showing it should be there.

If you search for Glue Adjacent in the changelog/journal you'll find it:

19.5.79

Removed the Glue Adjacent shelf tool. Tools such as RBD Glued Objects should be used instead to create constraints ahead of time in SOPs, rather than creating a DOP -> SOP -> DOP cycle.

How do we glue rbd objects to static objects? That tool made it so easy. It doesn't work the same, now that the constraint network is inside the single RBD object.

If you have the static object's geometry in SOPs, with a name attribute assigned, then tools like RBD Constraints from Rules, or even just Connect Adjacent Pieces, can be used to create constraints between your fractured object and the static object

but if you need to bring them to SOPs in the first place isn't that what the tool was doing?
I agree that its not ideal, especially since it was creating the SOPnet outside of the DOPnet

I'm mostly talking about RBD solver, since for Bullet all prep happens in SOPs to begin with so this tool would not be necessary
but I assume for people that have to fall back to RBD solver (if they want mutulal FLIP interaction or something) it may still be useful

The Glue Adjacent tool wouldn't have worked with the RBD solver since it creates constraint networks For the RBD solver I think you'd have to use the Glue to Object parameter on the RBD Object DOP to set up the old-style glue

Ah, ok, yeah, it's slowly coming back, haha, then it's probably better removed

Thanks. That worked like a charm. I'll update my techniques for my students.

I found some tutorials in help provided. But most of objects just constrained to a static position in the world or a static object. Is there a solution, how to constrain one network to another or how to constrain glued or pin constrained network to a moving object in a scene?
