FBX export with instances? How?

Hello everyone,
I'm having some trouble setting up a FBX export with instances. I know that Houdini FBX export supports them but I can't manage to actually do it. I've tried copyPoints and instance attribute but no luck.

Does anyone have a working example? Thanks

i imagine USD could do that? not sure about fbx :S

I'm exporting to Unity so I kind need FBX :/

Houdini documentation says it's supported and other DCC-s (max/maya) can do it....so I guess it's doable.

"ROP glTF Output" supports instancing right from the SOP level (via packed primitives). Import in Unity can be accomplished with one of the available glTF import plugins.
