Hi,

when using the Layout node, it works as expected with the Place tool the first time, but as soon as I switch tools, or just confirm the changes and start using the tool again, it places the first asset and then freezes and requires a restart of Houdini.

Has anyone lese encountered this behavior? Could there be some user error or something I can do to avoid these freezes?

I think it's a bug.The layout tool has many bugs.

All the UV tools are super buggy, it's such a shame cause they're so powerful.

Wow, this thread is from Dec.7, 2022, and yes, I was searching for why my console pops up with errors every time I try to use the layout node!

Why have these issues not been resolved?

It seems a harmless debug info which comes with recent daily builds.
