Fatal error launching Houdini; number_of_threads

Hi.

I just installed Houdini Apprentice on my home PC and upon launch am getting a fatal error. Anyone can help me fix it please?
Windows 10 x64, current installer available on the website houdini-18.5.462-win64-vc141.exe
CPU i7-3770 3.40Ghz

Houdini Apprentice used to work fine when I last installed some 6 months ago. Only difference I can think of is me having installed quite a number of Adobe software for my new job including After FX, Premiere and Audition.

Fatal Error:

Assertion number_of_threads==automatic || number_of_threads > 0 failed on line 317 of file c:\cygwin\home\prisms\builder-new\weeklydevtoolshead\dev_tools\src\tbb\tbb-2019\tbb-sidefx_2019_u9_3\src\tbb\governor.cpp
Detailed description: number_of_threads for task_scheduler_init must be automatic or positive

Got it working now. In case anyone got this error - had to run the sfc /scannow command

Just ran into the same issue. houdini 19.5.435.
Any advice ?

For me doestn work sfc command. Any other idea?

I tried modify, repair, ,re installing houdini, updanting Windows, but nothin works.

Some help?
