PolyExtrude inset cause weird distortion

PolyExtrude 2.0 inset works like this:



As you can see there are some weird topology distortion around the edges.

The old PolyExtrude works like this:



Edges flow nicely.

How do I get the old PolyExtrude behavior in PolyExtrude 2.0?

Interesting.....deserving of an RFE maybe.
Doesn't immediately look like there is an option to get the same outcome on the new 2.0 node itself.

A workaround/chore to get the same result is using an edit sop to straighten selection of the edges after the fact.
There is also the "edge straighten" node to accept a group which does the same thing more procedurally.

The easiest workaround, as far as I can tell, is just to use the old PolyExtrude.

But it still feels very weird that they changed this behavior...

Id definitely file a bug report / RFE on this with your version 1 and version 2 screenshots. It looks more like an unintended change in behaviour to me.
