SOP Flip upres loss of volume

I'm trying to follow Igor Zanic's sop flip upres workflow outlined in his BGHUG talk (https://youtu.be/merqe0uYrKM?t=857). However, my hi-res flip sim loses volume. If I try the Pressure Boundary I lose volume immediately at the beginning of the shot. If I try the Velocity Boundary condition, I lose volume toward the end of the shot.
Things I have tried:
1. Both APIC and FLIP velocity transfers.
2. With and without Waterline turned on (the docs say disable it fwiw).
3. Increased reseeding oversampling.
As far as I can see there are no example files in the content libary. Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: Using the velocity boundary method, from what I can tell the majority of the volume loss begins the moment the sim bounds encounters the ground collision geo.

It took me all day but I think I figured it out. My issue before was that my hires container bounds at times would leave the bounds of the lores, especially at the bottom of the tank and near the collision beach. However, I have adjusted my hires bounds to remain within the lores bounds and it fixed everything. I can now even use the Pressure boundary setup and I'm getting better results.

thanks you saved me. maybe I missed it but I wish they were more explicit about that. If your boundary is bigger than the source boundary it wont work just like you said.
Thanks,
