Animated texture not updating in viewport or render

I've got a very simple scene with an animated ramp in img context that is going into a material then onto a cube. The animation of the texture does not update in the viewport in obj context when scrubbing, it only updates when I go "Render/Update Textures". It also does not update when rendering out an image sequence. Is there any way to get this texture to animate when scrubbing and rendering?

That may be a Redshift problem, you could ask on their forum.

Using Karma, you can scrub textures in the viewport.

Thanks Enivo,

I think I am fighting against the software here trying to use a COP as a texture source in a material. Just found this in the documentation:

"Materials driven by COP textures may not update properly in the OpenGL viewport"

Will try a different solution as you suggest.
