Today i have found out that the mobile radeon x1600 graphic cards on imacs and macbooks can be software modified into FireGL 5200, which provides great performance improvement for OpenGL interfaces and great stability under 3D applications. (Actually every radeon up to x1950 can be soft modded using this technique)
