Hello All,

I'm learning grooming in houdini (coming from grooming in other hair programs like YETI and XGEN) and i had a question.

While exploring the grooming tools with the guidegroom node, I notice that whichever tool i used, It would not work looking through the back side of the growth object. I'm only talking tools that use the screen space as a manipulator. Just wondering if that is just the way it is or there's a way to turn and off an option to be able to groom through the backside. There's a video showing what happens .

Does it work the way you want if you change the viewport display mode to "hide other objects". Sorry just guessing because I'm not in front of Houdini right now nor have I ever wanted that behavior.

Thanks for responding @freshbaked. Quick Test and the viewport changed didn't work. I can work with it like this as its def for the better when grooming, but I was just more curious than a complete stop of working with a groom.
