Title: Romance over!

I felt like a bunch of the setup was overly complicated and didn't work as expected. There is also too much packing and unpacking necessary. Pretty sure my RBD constraints didn't work at all. I wanted to do a mix of Ragdoll, RBD and hand-keyed animation in the apex scene animate node but couldn't get that to work either and couldn't find a good tutorial for it.

few notes from playing with vellum grains:
- glue constraints needs to set both group types to "point" to work
- glue constraints link to incorrect points further than radius - might be a viewport bug
- vdb collider SOP is really good
- @stopped is for sleeping. pop awaken DOP to wake them up.
- need VDB Fog volume for pop awaken.
- destroying a mesh with grains is not that straight forward, lots of work to remesh & handle uvs

Mardini 2025 – Day 24: CRASH (Late Entry)
Sometimes collapse is a celebration. The tower had it coming ... rigid, overbuilt, a holdout from some prior geometry regime.
Enter our skittering kinetic-launcher friend: part missile platform, part creature of intent, IK-posed and KineFX puppeted into purpose. When the moment ripened, the launcher bloomed ... unpacking from its captured geo to fire a volley, each missile guided by POP logic and a well-timed attraction force. At impact, the structure didn’t just break, it transformed -- ignited by inherited velocity and crowned in a pyro aerial burst demo like digital confetti from the grid.
This was always meant to be a liberation.
see you soon,
