How can I add a Z channel in a mantra render? I want to use the image for a composition work (depth of field).
And how can I do it with 3 Delight?
Z buffer??

Hi,
Under the Properties/Output tab of the mantra ROP, click on the + button beside the Extra Image Planes label.
Specify the path to an image file if you are writing to a separate file else give the deep raster layer a name, for example, “Pz”. For VEX Variable, select Pz from the drop down list & set VEX Type to Float. The last thing is to set the Pixel Filter to Closest Sample Filtering.
Unfortunately, I'm not too familiar with 3Delight. Perhaps, Properties/Ri AOV, Variable 1 is “z”, Display is “Pz” & Display Device is “openexr”?
Cheers!
