hi,
is there a way to make 2 fluids (for instance coffee and milk or cream and chocolate) to interact with each other ? I'would like to pour a second fluid in a container in wich there is another fluid yet and let them interact mixing together.

thnx

Off the top of my head, look at the “gas diffuseDOP” iirc. That should help mix the 2 different colours together.

Yeah I've tried it yet. Now I do the way using one solver only like the tutorialI've found here. I'would like to use 2 different solvers, I'll do some tests …

tnx

Hi

In the digital tutors DVD, they show interaction of two fluids but with one solver; I also want to know if is possible in houdini the interaction of two or more fluids but each one with his own solver, like realflow.

Thanks.

wouldn't a volumemix sop work? i think so. later, in that SAME TUTORIAL PRODUCT, the smoke stack portion, a volumemix sop is used to subtract one volume from the other, but there is an add function in there also.

i am guessing now, but that sop placed below 2 volume fluid items i think would work.
