Well it seems to happen at certain camera angles. I moved the camera and it worked. I moved it in another angle and the error poped up agian. Heres the scene file if it helps.

I believe i found the issue. It seems i had a material node on one of the cubes faces, that i deleted earlier on. Once i got rid of that node it seems to work now.

EDIT: Well i was wrong it still happens just not on the first frame now

I also got this error

Ok well hopefully haha its fixed. It seems like it could have been the point light for some reason. I will keep you guys posted

Edit- Well im almost positive now its raytrace shadows. Ive rendered it out without shadows and with depth map shadows with no errors. But when i try with raytrace shadows i get the error. Upon further investigation it seems it doesnt happen if the render is raytrace and theres raytrace shadows, it seems to happen with raytrace shadows on and micropolygon render. It also happens if i use the micropolygon physically based render with raytrace shadows on.

Hey Dageris, thanks for doing the self-investigation! I've JUST run into this problem.

I switched my rendering engine to Ray Tracing (instead of Micropolygon) and kept my raytraced shadows and I haven't gotten an error so far.

My renders are now 7 minutes in (of probably around 30 minutes or an hour) and it's going fine. There are definitely possibilities of this crashing later on but earlier my renders were crashing after 10 seconds.

For other people, I was getting the: R6025 - pure virtual function call error.

After getting that error I KEPT my rendering engine on Micropolygon but changed my shadows to Depth Map. However, I then got Error Code: -1072…. (whatever the rest of the numbers are).

So it seems switching my rendering engine to Ray Tracing fixed it. Although, I'm hoping that the renders aren't dramatically different (in look) than my micropolygon renders :-x!

pure virtual function calls are usually bugs. Please submit them with examples to reproduce.
