Is there any way to stop houdini from loading it's welcome page in my browser every time I start it? I have tried looking through the help, searching the forum, and searching the web but no luck. I also don't see any obvious options in the preferences dialog. Any help would be appreciated.

In the edit menu, third option from the bottom.

You shouldn't. It's always bugged me there's a handful of options(that have fairly impactful effects!) that are sitting there in that menu and aren't consolidated in the preferences. I suppose an argument could be made for having some of those there(you may want them on or off occasionally), but help on startup ain't one of them in my books, and at least reproducing them in preferences would be helpful.
