I'm not able to find any Houdini Console when the installation hangs with the rename of the “zmore” file. Nothing launchs.
I'm on Win7 Pro x64 (french language).
Help for the Install please

Please, everyone start their own threads. Post your exact OS, video card hardware, video driver versions, network hardware, firewall software (and version), anti-virus software (and version). Then provide a precise description of the problem when trying out the latest version of Houdini (must be >= 11.0.471). Also check the incompatible software list (http://odforce.net/wiki/index.php/IncompatibleSoftware). [odforce.net]

Windows 7 Professionnal x64 (language French) Version : 6.1.7600
AMD Phenom 9650 Quad-core 2.3 GHz - 8 Go RAM
Version du BIOS/Date American Megatrends Inc. 0405, 27/08/2008
Version 2.5
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 512 Mo
Video Driver: 257.21
Network Hardware: NVidia nforce Ethernet 802.3
Firewall: Windows
Anti-Virus: Avast 4.8.1368
Problem: When installing Houdini, gfont.exe crash with all versions 11.x.xxx

Here's been years since I have not had a problem installing professional programs with Windows…

We just tried a similar system but failed to reproduce. It was on an Intel Core2Duo with Windows 7 Ultimate (English OEM, switched to French language pack) running Avast Free Edition 5.0.694, Windows Firewall enabled, UAC enabled.

PS. If anyone is having problems, try checking if Windows Live Essentials Beta is installed on your computer. It fixed at least 2 people's problems when it was uninstalled:
