Hey guys I'm on an intel iMac 10.6.3, I went to download the student version, everytime I go and open Houdini I get this message: Unable to connect to hserver for licence acquistion". I tried going to the FAQ but it only resolves Windows and Linux Systems.

Try reinstalling Houdini, and in one of the steps choose “Apprentice Local Licensing” checkbox. This should configure Houdini to bypass hserver.
