There are production build snap-shots that we support along with daily builds. Updating your version to the current production build is a good way to stay current.

As for Hardware, we support current AMD and Intel processors on PC's and the Mac.

For graphics hardware, search the Side Effects forums to see what options are best as this comes up quite frequently.
