Hi Everybody!
I'm having problems with the snapping performance in Houdini 9.1. For example, when drawing a curve in a scene with about 4,000 points and point snapping turned on it takes about 8(!) seconds for the curve to follow up on my mouse movements.
To reprodruce:
Drop a polygon sphere in a fresh scene a change the frequency to 20.
Turn on point snapping.
Try drawing a curve.
Interactivity should be completely gone.
I'm running the Apprentice Edition on a first gen MacBook Pro with 2 GB of RAM and an ATI X1600 under Vista Business 32-Bit.
I did a search in the journals and there is a bug fix mentioned for version 8.1.580 (April 22, 2006) that exactly describes my experience.
Did anybody else run into this problem?
