I'm trying to scoop sand by using particle fluids. I'm getting there but it's very bouncy and sticky. I figured out that using the “Convert to Grains” in “Initial Data” of the Particlefluid-solver removes the bouncyness and creates sand-like flow.
But I find it very hard to tweak. I found this post:

but have trouble implementing it. I also get an error on the solver DOP.
Does anybody know how to use the Grain options?
