Hello everyone,
I'm getting the following error when launching Houdini 10.0 builds 610 and 611 from a terminal window:
libpng error: Not a PNG file

I also get garbled graphics in the main Houdini window, i.e no buttons.
This does not happen with build 595.
What has changed? I cannot find anything regarding libpng in the Journals.
Apprentice HD
Slackware64-current (gcc 4.4.3, glibc 2.11.1, libpng 1.2 and 1.4.1)

Edit: I also tried:
launching Houdini with the following:
alias houdini='LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib64/libpng12.so /opt/hfs10.0.611/bin/houdini'

However the result remains the same…This doesn't seem to be related to the libpng version used.

Edit 2010-04-20:
I sometimes get the libpng error: Not a PNG file when running build 595 as well (when for example, placing a camera in the scene) but It's still usable, which cannot be said of builds 610,611 and 615).

Edit 2010-04-24:
I think I might have to revert to a system based on gcc 4.3.3 and test further…
