Hi there, Im trying to do a simulation both fluid simulation and a hard fx simultion o fa simple box cracked and falling to ground in to pieces.
Ivé done this before so I know it should work but it was a long time ago and I´m a little lost now.
and I had some issues with the earlier build of houdini apprentice since the mdd point cache was broken, but with my latest build it works again, at least for a simple move or rotation animation of an object and the export to lightwave.
where in the simulation should I put the mdd point cache, if i do a simple box falling with rigid body dynamics on to a collision plane? I suspect it should be somewhere at the end?
As I mentioned Ive done this before with both fluid container and a object falling and crack to pieces on the ground and then exported sucessfully to lightwave, but I just lost the workflow in my memory banks.

Where to place the mdd point cache in a dynamic simulation!
