hello,

i can't figure out how to edit a curve once i created it. No matter which type of curve i create (Poly,Nurbs,Bezier, CV, Breakpoint, freehand), i can see the points during the creation process, but once the curve is done (hit enter or select other tool) i'm stuck … i go into the curve_object and tried the different selectors for the select tool (Point, Vertices, Breakpoint) but i don't even see the points (point view is on in the right shelf), cannot select anything or edit move the points around.

what am i missing ?

you need to be back in the Curve context

make your curve - hit enter to complete the curve
do whatever you want
to go back and edit the curve
put your cursor in the viewport
hit ESC - to clear the viewport and get to the View context
make sure the curve SOP is displayed*
hit enter - note that in the toolbar of the viewport you are now back in the Curve tool
edit the curve points

* this is if you have Show Display Operator on, if not then just make sure you have the Curve SOP selected

I have a similar issue.

The problem is I want to edit my curve inside the SOP context.
My curve was imported into a SOP from an external source.

I thought I could achieve this using the Edit SOP, but I coundn't.
The Edit SOP shows the bezier curve CVs along the curve, but I neither can select nor transform them.
Curve SOP also doesn't work.

How do I edit a curve inside a SOP if I don't have access to it's creation nodes?

I got the point!
I had to pick point selection/edit from the left menu when using the Edit SOP.
This other thread helped me figuring this out:
