Hi all.

I have some questions:
Is there any epic book about Houdini? I mean, I've been searching for Houdini books in the net, but I've found only two of them. And they're all for the beginners. There are many video tutorials, but… They're only tutorials, and there is not much teoretical information about core concepts of Houdini. I don't know, is there English translation of book Understanding MaYa (Понимая MaYa), but this kind of books, are ideal variant (maby someone had read it). I don't know how to explain this. Hm. I want book more, about how tools work, but not where to klick, or make something beautiful on Houdini. Some customization concepts. Deep explanations about Assets and etc.
Is there anything like that?

Is there any way to get old Apprentice versions of Houdini?
I have really old PC now. AMD Athlon XP 2.4, 1 Gig of ram and Ati Radeon 9600. Well, Houdini have really good optimization, but OpenGL and some tools, just don't work. And some dinamic effects running really slow. I've installed v10, that I've downloaded a long time ago, from the SideFX. Now, I need some old version for… more comfortable learning.
And where can I read features history of versions? All “What's new?” topics, to find more… balanced version between features and performance?

Sorry for my English, but it's not my native language.
