when I create a box,this error happens.
But I have no problem creating sphere or tube 。
Can't create some other things neither.

Sounds like graphic drivers.

doesnt always work but you can try deleting your preferences in case they've gone awry.

just rename the houdini12.0 or houdini12.1 folder in your home directory to something else. houdini will then recreate it with the defaults.
